The first release “Shattered forest” got some nice words in Dutch webzine Vital Weekly German/ Austrian Kulturterrorismus and British ATTN:

“Seven pieces of heavily drone based music. Minimal, yet intense. The use of analogue gear may hint at cosmic music, but its all too dark and alien to be cosmic. No arpeggio’s (unless slowed down a lot), but keys stuck to the bottom, and modulating in ever growing and expanding circles. Highly moody and atmospheric. If you like labels such as Cyclic Law and Malignant and what they are bringing to the table in utter black ambient, then this one should be straight up your alley too.” / Vital Weekly, nr 779.

“Shattered Forest is, as the debut, a good performance by the man from the north. Strong expressions and intensity are here, which is not due to a congested structure, but in a minimalist droning, which often tend to pull in the direction of meditation, but with an emphasis on electro-acoustic effects. Shattered forest is out on Pale Noir. The sounds were recorded between 2008-10 at EMS and in the home studio. The main tools were different types of analogue equipment. Tracks 6-7 were mastered by Henrik Nordvargr Björkk. It’s available as CDr (limited to 50 pieces) and download here.

A batch of tracks recorded between 2008-10 will be released under the title Shattered Forest on Pale Noir in April. The format is CDr, the edition is limited and hand numbered. The sounds goes from early experiments in the dark ambient vein to electroacoustic mashups. First track from the album (in SC’s low quality):

StrykninY has been recording and structuring a new batch of sounds. The live sessions took place at EMS and in the home studio. The base is made of modular synths laced with field recordings and the tactics were: Nesting certain objects, regular pauses, non-structured attacks and repetitive algorithms. They gather under the banner: Implant paths. “V” was mastered by Gregg Janman. V:
